Our response to Covid-19

We’re here to help, join our innovation workshop this Friday

We have been taking proactive steps in our response to Covid-19. As of last week Friday 13th March 2020 we switched to entirely remote’ and all our staff are working from home. We didn’t take this step because we’ve had any cases at Verse, rather we want to be proactive to protect our employees, and as a company, we believe that it is the right thing to help minimise the spread of the virus and the impact on our health services.

Both our Kendal office and Birmingham office are closed until further notice.

Working from home isn’t new to all of us — many of our staff are based remotely across the UK — although the whole company working remotely is certainly a recent change. As part of our business continuity planning, we’ve carefully considered how we can ensure we can continue to do a great job for all our customers and look after our staff. We have carefully chosen high end and secure computer hardware and software that will allow us to work from anywhere as if we were in the office.

We have also stopped all non-essential travel for face to face presentations and meetings — we’ll also be cancelling our upcoming events. All client meetings will be conducted over video conference wherever possible. Working across 2 offices, we’re quite familiar with video conferences although we understand that many of our customers may not be quite so ready for that change or indeed have the setup required. If you need some help with video conferencing, we are more than happy to help you with setup and training so you can continue to run your business as much as possible.

We’re fortunate as a digital business that we can take this step and reduce our risk, we understand however that many of our beloved clients are facing tricky times ahead where working from home may not be an option, or worse they’re having to close down shops.

To help do what we can, we will be setting up (remote) workshops; a space of innovation to bring our talented staff & customers together to see how we can support you all through this unprecedented time. We champion your involvement in those workshops to bring your direct challenges to us and see what we can do for you.

Our first innovation workshop is planned for this Friday 20 March 2020 at 10:30am. We’d love to see you there.

When faced with a challenge we want to bring innovation to support you so that when things become difficult, we can be there to keep you moving forwards as best as we can. We’ll proactively be contacting you over the coming days & weeks, although please email sean@verse.co.uk if you’d like to be included in our further workshop invites going forward.

We have taken strong action ahead of the curve and put in place measures to protect our staff and our service offering to our clients. We have multi skilled and talented staff that have a can do’ attitude and know that we can get through this together. It goes without saying that we will do everything we can to maintain the highest possible level of service throughout these times. We’ll keep you up to date as this situation changes. If you have specific concerns, comments or would like to talk anything through please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Sincerely,

Sean & the Verse team
